11.08.2010 Bulgaria, World Bank sign memorandum SOFIA, Bulgaria -- The cabinet and World Bank President Robert Zoellick signed a memorandum on co-operation in improving the country\'s infrastructure Tuesday (August 10th). Under the agreement, the Bank will provide technical assistance to improve the absorption of EU funds, as well as to develop key sectors, such as energy, the judiciary and administrative capacity. The finance ministry stressed that the cabinet is not borrowing additional funds. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov says the Bank\'s experts will help to frame quality projects to absorb credit lines worth nearly 1 billion euros from various international institutions.
